“I heard the best thing ever this morning—Amen!”
It was a pastor preaching, and his words were simply this:
“Never be jealous of what God does for someone else. What God has for you is for YOU, and He is never going to deliver your mail to someone else’s house.” Hallelujah!
And I thought—oh my goodness—isn’t that the truth?
Because what happens so often is this: we step into places, take up positions, and do things that were never meant for us. We go above and beyond to gain recognition, to be in a place that was never designed with us in mind. Amen?
All the while, we strive to be seen, to be heard, to become what others are—instead of simply working on ourselves and the life God has given us. We’re so focused on what someone else is getting, on their blessings, their platform—what they have.
But let me tell you, that is a tormenting place to be.
When we start living like that, we lose sight of our gifts, our talents, our abilities. Our hearts can become hardened. We lose our peace and joy. We start murmuring and complaining, feeling like we’re not good enough—wondering why others are being blessed and we’re not.
“Why not me?” we ask.
And in that mindset, we forget what God has done for us. We become ungrateful, placing ourselves in situations the Lord never intended us to be in.
Maybe someone else is moving forward in their life—but you don’t know the struggle or heartbreak they’ve gone through to get where they are now. Amen?
When God is doing a work in us, to prepare us for what He has for us, it involves crushing, molding, and shaping us into who He alone needs us to be. And that is never easy—this side of Heaven. It wasn’t even easy for Jesus.
So here’s the key to it all:
Stay in your lane.
Cheer others on in whatever place God has called them to. Let jealousy fall far away from you, because it’s one of the ugliest things. Instead, be grateful for others, for their callings, for their gifts. Because we need every one of them.
No matter what the calling is, we are all called of the Lord—daily.
We are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20)—in our workplaces, at the grocery store, going for a walk, heading to the gas station. Amen?
Everywhere we go, we are being used, and we are called to be a light and to share the Gospel. Amen.
Often, we desire what someone else has—their gift, their ability, all their “stuff.”
But I must ask you this:
Are you truly willing to pay the price for it?
Are you willing to go through the fire to get it?
To do the work it takes to prepare for it and keep it?
Amen.
So again—I loved what was said:
“God is never going to deliver your mail to someone else’s house.” Amen!
Be thankful for you and your life.
Quit desiring someone else’s—and simply live.
Live well with what God has given you.
And again—give thanks always, for everything—
For this is God’s will for each of us in life (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Let’s do the best we can with what we have. Amen!”
For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
