“Only the Lord!”

Only the Lord Is Truly Easy

Life is hard. Amen. We can all attest to that truth. Everything in this world has its challenges, its battles, and its burdens. But as I was thinking this morning, I realized something powerful — the only true and constant thing in this life that isn’t hard is the Lord. Amen.

Jesus Christ is the only One who is easy. But we fight Him. We resist His ways. We insist on doing life our own way, following our own plans, making our own decisions — and then we suffer because of it. Much of our struggle, we bring upon ourselves.

We are a generation that longs for everything to be easy. We search for shortcuts, avoid difficulties, and chase comfort. We want everything “right now.” But I didn’t come this morning to write about the hard and easy of life. I came to speak about the Lord Jesus — the One who is the easy part of life.

He gives us everything we need, yet we still strive in our own strength. We climb and scratch our way to the top. We try to do life on our own terms. We don’t want to listen or obey. We put things off, thinking we’ll get around to it later. But the truth remains: only the Lord is truly good and easy for us.

When the Father chose to go to the cross — when Jesus hung, bled, and died — He did it so we could have abundant life and freedom in every area. But praise the Lord, He rose again on the third day, defeating death, hell, and the grave! And with His final words on the cross, He declared, “It is finished.” (John 19:28–30). Amen. At that moment, everything changed.

Still, we wrestle within ourselves. We don’t want to become who the Lord created us to be. We want to live life our own way, and in doing so, we face unnecessary heartache and defeat. Why? Because we don’t fully surrender to Him or embrace the calling He’s placed on our lives.

But again, the Lord is the easy part. Let us never forget that.

As the Word of God says:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
— Matthew 11:28–30

Hallelujah!

Seek the Lord for your life — daily. Don’t always run to others looking for answers. Seek the Lord, and stay in your secret place until you’re truly in His presence. And when you get there, you’ll know. You’ll feel Him. His presence is unmistakable. In that moment, begin to give Him your heart, your hurts, your worries — all that you are. And in turn, He will fill you up. Praise the Lord.

As it is written:

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
— Hebrews 4:16

So again, I say: only the Lord is easy for you and me. We don’t have to fight to find Him. We don’t have to travel far. He is right here, right now. For the Word promises:

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
— Hebrews 13:5

Today, find your place with the Lord. Let Him love on you. There is no love in this life like the love of the Lord. His love is the truest, most powerful, and most beautiful love this side of eternity. Hallelujah.

Take time to thank Him for His presence. Thank Him for making a way — so that you and I can have access to Him anytime: day, night, or noon. We can call on Him. We can find Him. We can walk with Him. He is our wonderful, beautiful Savior — Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
