“Benefits from laughing!”

Laughter Is Truly Medicine – Amen

When I woke up this morning, I saw a video that was absolutely hilarious, and I just could not stop laughing. It boosted my mood tremendously! It’s amazing what laughter does for the body—Amen. It lifts your spirit, gets you into a better mood, and somehow fills you with energy, motivation, and all of the above—Amen.

But somehow, we as a generation have become so serious about everything in our lives. Now, I’m not saying we shouldn’t be serious about certain things—we absolutely should, especially in our daily responsibilities. But I also pray we all come to understand the incredible benefits of laughter and that each of us makes it a point to find ways to laugh daily—Amen.

Maybe it’s through a funny video or movie, or simply by being around someone who has that contagious, joyful spirit. For me, one person who never fails to make me laugh—like belly laugh—is my sister-in-law, Marsha. Oh my goodness! We don’t even have to say much; it’s just a kindred spirit between us, and we end up laughing hysterically—Amen!

If we truly understood how much laughter benefits us spiritually, physically, and mentally, we would actively seek it out. We would incorporate it into our daily lives—never taking it for granted—Amen. Just like we make sure to eat, drink, take our medicine or vitamins every day, we should also make sure we get our daily dose of laughter—Amen.

As I was doing a little research on laughter and its benefits, I found so many! Laughter is a wonderful stress reliever. It increases the oxygen in our bodies, which stimulates our nervous system to help us relax and calm down. It’s amazing for heart health too—laughter increases blood flow and lowers the stress hormones that cause our blood vessels to constrict.

It also boosts our immunity, making it harder for us to get sick—Amen. It relieves tension and pain in our bodies. It even helps with breathing, as it clears stale air from our lungs and opens up airways, making it easier to breathe—Hallelujah!

Laughter improves memory, sharpens focus, and enhances our overall mindset—Amen. The Bible says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine” (Proverbs 17:22). When we are joyful, we laugh. Our mood improves, our lives improve, we improve.

But that same verse also says, “A crushed spirit dries up the bones.” In other words, when we lose our joy, it begins to steal life from our bodies, leading to sickness, pain, and disease. Physically, we start to wither away—Amen.

So today, let us make a conscious effort to seek out happiness and joy. Let’s surround ourselves with positive, faith-filled people—those God has placed in our lives—because we need each other. There is strength in numbers. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17)—Amen.

Let us find a reason to laugh today. Let us look for the good in the day and intentionally seek out that beautiful, contagious spirit of joy—Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
