“Yesterday, as Erik and I sat in the quiet hallways of the cancer institute, waiting for his appointment, the atmosphere felt deeply somber. Families sat in silence, the youngest and the oldest alike. Some pushed their loved ones in wheelchairs, while others clung close with walkers or oxygen machines. The weight of what was happening around us—lives hanging in the balance, silent prayers for healing—was unmistakable. How often do we become so absorbed in our own lives that we fail to see the needs of those around us? May we never lose sight of the suffering in our communities and cities and consistently lift them to the Lord.
As we moved through our day—rushing from point A to point B, consumed by daily tasks—let us pause and ask: Who might need our encouragement? Perhaps someone needs a prayer, a hug, or simply a shoulder to cry on. We are all part of this beautiful thing called life, and what we’ve been given is not for keeping—it’s meant to be shared.
When we were finally called back, the oncologist delivered one beautiful report after another. The gloom we wore on our faces, even as we tried to hide it, vanished, replaced by radiant smiles and hearts full of gratitude. We prayed together—God was in that room with us.
Walking away, our hearts ached for those still inside, battling with fear and uncertainty. Yet that night, we slept more deeply than we have in weeks, refreshed by thankfulness for the rest God granted us.
As the scripture in Isaiah (Isaiah 10:27) says:
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”
We both had been bearing such a heavy burden—uncertainty, fear, and the unknown—but that burden was lifted, replaced by a profound peace that settled over our hearts, minds, and souls. Praise His name.
In moments like these—sitting in quiet uncertainty—life can change in an instant. In our case, God gifted Erik with healing, turning what the enemy intended for harm into restoration and grace. Thank you all—from the depths of our hearts—for your love, prayers, and support. Never forget: prayer changes things, and with the Lord, all things are possible.
Yet always remember, just beyond us, there are hurting people. There are those who are sick, those desperately needing peace, encouragement, or just someone to notice them. May the Lord show us who needs something from us each day and give us the courage to respond.
We are all in this together. Let’s continue to help, encourage, and uplift one another—Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
