“Somehow, right now in my life, I feel like I’m just going with the flow—trying to stay busy and distracted, because I don’t know what’s truly happening in my life or my husband’s. I’m in this sad stage of life… an angry stage… a “blame everyone” stage. My emotions and feelings are everywhere in this season of our lives. Being patient right now feels nearly impossible. How many of us know that waiting is often the hardest part—just waiting to see what will or won’t be, waiting to face—or not face—what lies ahead? Life is far from easy. You never know when it’s going to hit and come at you from all directions.
Yet, amidst it all, I cling to the truth: God, our Father, knows. He knows how we feel, what we think, where our weaknesses lie, and even our strengths. That alone brings major comfort and peace when we feel overwhelmed—even by ourselves. Right now, we can’t abandon ship. We can’t run away. We can only wait and try our best to be patient—loving and kind toward every opinion shared with us—even when we don’t want to hear much. We’re waiting on the doctors, not knowing what we’ll face, praying and believing with all our hearts that we won’t have to face any of it.
Then I think of Jesus—how He steadfastly lived out His Father’s will, saying, “Not my will be done, but Yours”, and He went to Calvary to endure the most terrible and horrible death. Everything in life comes at a cost and without always offering answers or understanding. We try to live as if nothing’s happening, while feeling every bit of the stress and tension.
But this morning, Erik’s and my comfort comes from trusting that God knows it all—He knows us. He has a plan and a purpose for it all, even when we don’t. He is Lord; He is Creator. There are many scriptures that remind us God is for us and not against us:
- Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”
- Psalm 139:16 – God saw our unformed substance; all our days were written before one of them came to be.
- Isaiah 49:1 – “The Lord called me from the womb; from my mother’s body He named me.”
- Psalm 139:1–24 – He has searched us and knows when we rise and lie down; He knows our thoughts from afar; before a word is on our lips, He knows it.
- Isaiah 44:2 – The Lord, who made you, will help you—don’t fear, for you are chosen.
- Jeremiah 29:11 – “I know the thoughts I think toward you… thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
We’re trusting in the Lord with our lives right now. It’s not easy, but God gives us what we need each day—to be at peace, to remain peaceful, to stay trusting and leaning on Him. He’s our everything. Without Him, we can do little, but with our Father, we can do amazing and incredible things—each day anew. So let us trust and lean on the Maker of Heaven and Earth, letting go of what we feel, what we hear, and what we see, and walk by faith—not by sight. Let us call the things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17)..Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
