“When life hands you difficult moments—moments that challenge you to believe the worst—I pray you pause and remember every single victory. Remember every time God helped you, setting you free from what once seemed impossible. Life may hand us lemons—sometimes in basketfuls—but we’re called not just to make lemonade, but to add some sweet, tasty sugar too.

If we believe the lies of that old evil one, we will fall into despair. We won’t rise—we will fall. Somehow, in our human weakness, we lose sight of the bigger picture—we forget to remember the good. We forget God and the vastness of His goodness. But the Bible says His promises are a resounding “Yes!” and “Amen!” (2 Corinthians 1:20). So know this: the Lord is with you (Isaiah 41:10), the Lord is fighting for you (Deuteronomy 3:22), and the devil is a liar—the father of lies (John 8:44). He won’t stay small—if you give him even a sliver, he takes over. So let no one steal from you any longer (Ephesians 4:28).

Today, focus on God: His mercy, His grace, and all the victories He has won for you. God is amazing—and He never changes (Malachi 3:6)—He is good, always. Let us praise His name. Though the journey may bring rough patches, know that in the end, we have the victory. Jesus won that victory over two thousand years ago on that old rugged cross. I’m so grateful He chose you—and me—to be free. Oh, what a Savior!

Whatever you are facing, know that God is with you—and the victory has already been won. We are winners through Christ Jesus our Lord (1 Corinthians 15:57), in whom we both begin and complete our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Hold on through it all. Never let go of your Savior’s hand. If God is in control, then nothing is ever really out of control. Know who you are: a child of God. Rejoice, because your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Luke 10:20). Amen!”
