I know that, for the most part, each of us live very busy lives. We do so many things daily—between home life, family life, and just life in general—it can sometimes get to be a little much. But you know, when life begins to feel overwhelming and heavy for me, I am always thankful and reminded of the Word of God, where He tells us:

“Come unto Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
— Matthew 11:28–30

Amen! What a blessing the Scriptures are. What a blessing it is that we are able to enter into the Lord’s presence and there find rest for our weary souls. Amen.

I love the song that says:

“In His presence… in His holy presence,
the weary can find perfect rest,
and the broken are restored.
In His presence… in His holy presence,
there’s nothing like the presence of the Lord.”
— Amen!

The Bible also tells us:

“In Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
— Psalm 16:11

So often, we carry things we were never meant to carry—or we try to bear them alone. But friends, we must get our help and our strength from the Lord. Amen.

Jesus said:

“Without Me, you can do nothing.”
— John 15:5

Oh, but with Him?

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
— Philippians 4:13

Hallelujah!

So always take time in your life to pray, and continually seek the Lord and His face. Amen. Don’t just go about your day doing things the way you think you should, because it is God who helps us. God is our everything.

As the Psalmist wrote:

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”
— Psalm 121:1–2

So my prayer and my heart today—for each of us—is that we all find our rest in the Lord. Amen. May the Lord’s comfort and peace gently abide with each of us. Amen.
