“There is a cost to following Jesus..Amen..it’s not that were gonna be on this easy pathway when we do start following Him..as some thinks that it should be or even that it could be..because it’s not..there is a lot of bumps in the road..and a lot at times road blocks there as well in the road of life..a lot of break downs..tear downs..persections..devastions..dark and cold dreay places..pretty much if we are following Jesus at times a long the way we wanna get off the road so to speak..we wanna take matters into our own hands..and do it our way..and somehow thinking that it’s gonna be easier..that things are just gonna fall into place..that all will be well and that there won’t be so much of a mess that we must deal with..Amen..but guys let me say this following Jesus is not at all the way that we think that life should go..and its not at all the way that we are going to perceive it..and sometimes storms of life come all the while right there on the pathway with the Lord as we are following Him..and Jesus is there right there in the boat of life with us as the storm all around us is raging..Amen..and in our minds we are thinking surely this isn’t what I signed up for?..Amen..surely this isn’t Gods will and plan for me and my life?..Amen..so what do we wanna do?..well we wanna jump ship..we wanna get off the boat..we wanna begin running along and doing things in our timing and our way..Amen!”

“Oh but guys that is a dangerous place to get in life..because not going the way the Lord desires is not a pathway we wanna be on..because Jesus is taking us all on an adventure..and along the way we meet people..we engage with people..we minister to people..we shine Gods light on the pathway as we are following Jesus..Amen..because God never promised that our roadway of life was gonna be easy..or even some days fun..Amen..but He promised us that He would always be with us..(Hebrews 13:5)..that He would always be a very present help in our time of need..(Psalms 46:1)..that He would protect us along the way..(Psalms 91:1-16)..that He would provide our every need according to His riches in glory..(Philippians 4:19)..Amen..that we may be in a valley or on the mountain top but even there we would have peace in the midst of it all..whether were up or down in life..because greater is He that is in us than he that is in this world..(1 John 4:4)..Amen..so again don’t look for the easy..and don’t think just because it’s not that you are out of the will of God..or that God doesn’t love you uncondionally..Amen..or that He is not there..because He is there through it all..Praise the Lord!”

“I love the song that says this..He never promised that the cross would not get heavy..or the hill would not be hard to climb..He never offered our victories without fighting..but He said help would always come in time..Hallelujah..and even our Lord and Savior Jesus Chirst..He picked up His cross all the way to Golgotha’s hill..and even there He cried out Father if it be your will..let this cup pass from me..but nevertheless not as I will but as you..(Matthew 26:39/Mark 14:36/Luke 22:42)..Amen..and He stayed there on the course..He stayed there in the plan and will of His Father..and He bleed and died there for you and I..Praise the Lord..so we want it easy..we want it fast..we want it now..we want special treatment..we want no problems..no worries..no fear..no dispair..none of it..we want daily peaches and cream..and we want the cherry on top of the ice cream..Amen..but guys that’s not how life is or is it how it’s gonna go..but when we choose to pick up our crosses and follow the Lord..(Matthew 16:24-26)..then we choose in that moment to deny ourselves..and do just that..follow the Lord..Hallelujah..so my prayer for us is to follow Jesus..for us to stay the pathway..for us to stay the course..for us to hear Him and His gentle voice saying to each of us..this is the way walk therein..Amen!”
