“A poem written by Elisabeth Elliot has a phrase in it that says, Do the next thing..Amen..its meaning is to dictate to each of us to trust God and keep moving forward..doing the next thing..Hallelujah..because what happens if not we will get stuck in the now of things of our lives thinking that nothing is gonna change the situation that is there in front of us will always be there so we can grow tired and discouraged because of this..but when we do the next thing that is in front us then we are being active in our lives and in doing so it changes things in our lives..Amen..because we trust God and His word..and when we do the next thing we are activating our faith and hope in the Lord..not the problem not the circumstances and or situations..Amen..for scripture says God knows His plans for us..to prosper us and not harm us to give us hope and a future..(Jeremiah 29:11)..and the Lords plans stand firm forever the purposes of His heart through all generations..(Psalm 33:11)..because He tells us that He will instruct us and teach us the way we should go..He says He will counsel us with His eyes upon us..(Psalm 32:8)..because He is not slow in keeping His promises as some understand slowness..for He instead is patient with us..not wanting anyone of us to perish but for everyone to come to repentance..(2 Peter 3:9)..Praise the Lord..and who knows unless we all keep just simply doing the next thing in our lives that we wouldn’t be like Esther and be able to declare that perhaps we were born for such a time as this..(Esther 4:14)..Praise the Lord..all the while just doing our next thing..Amen!”
