“This morning, I’m reminded of the scripture in God’s Word that calls us to “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). I can’t help but wonder how many of us truly consider the reality of having an adversary—one who is alive, active, and working in the world around us. Do we pray and ask the Lord for protection from the evil one? Do we plead the blood of Jesus over our families, our marriages, our homes, and everything that concerns us?
We should, if we don’t. It is vital to remain aware of our surroundings and our daily actions. Often, it isn’t until everything in our lives begins to fall apart that we slow down, take inventory, and recognize the things we’ve neglected.
It’s so easy to let things slip away. We convince ourselves: I don’t really need to go to church. I don’t need to read my Bible. I don’t need to fellowship with anyone. I don’t need to pay tithes, give to missions, or support a nonprofit. Someone else will do it. These small compromises may seem insignificant in the moment, but over time, they can lead us to let go of things that once mattered deeply in our lives.
This morning, I encourage us all to take a good look at our lives. Where have we let things fall to the sidelines? Yes, life can be busy, hectic, and overwhelming, but the things we do for the Lord—what He calls us to—are the most important. Let’s examine the areas of our lives where we’ve grown complacent or where the fire has died down.
Pray for a fresh anointing. Ask the Lord to stir up the gifts He has placed within you. Pray for a renewed hunger and passion for His calling in your life. The enemy often steals from us gradually, through daily choices and decisions, but let us stand firm and declare, “Let him who stole steal no more” (Ephesians 4:28). Everything we do in our lives matters, and it matters greatly.
God has uniquely called and equipped each of us for a purpose that only we can fulfill. We are the apple of His eye, His beloved creation. Let’s consider our gifts, our talents, and the contributions we alone can make in this world. Then, let us move forward boldly, giving our best for the glory of our Father.
For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen & Amen..Be blessed today my dear friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
