“I know many people who start their journey with the Lord with such passion and joy. But as time goes on, they grow accustomed to His goodness, His presence, and all the ways He works in their lives. In that familiarity, they might find themselves simply going through the motions—caught in routines and losing the sense of gratitude that once filled their hearts.
But let us never forget the blessings God has poured into our lives—the ways He has set us free, delivered us, comforted us, and protected us. Think about the Lord and who He is, and let that stir excitement in your spirit. If it had not been for the Lord, where would we be? (Psalm 124:2) reminds us of this truth.
I can’t imagine where I’d be without Him. I know who I was before He saved me, and I know the foolish things I’ve done. Honestly, I might not even be alive today without His intervention. But because of His grace, I am here, a changed person. Even now, I fall short. I mess up. I say things I wish I could take back. I fail at being the friend I want to be. Yet, God corrects me, and I try to do better. That’s the key—to try, to strive for growth in Him.
God looks at the motives of our hearts. We can do many things, but what truly matters is why we do them. When we act out of love, not obligation, it brings about real change. Just going through the motions is not enough. But when we put our hearts into what we do because we care, transformation follows.
This morning, I was reading in the book of Psalms, where it says:
“He remembered us in our low estate—His mercy endures forever. He has redeemed us from our enemies—His mercy endures forever. He gives food to every creature—His mercy endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven—His mercy endures forever.”
(Psalm 136:23-26)
Let us never forget what God has done for us! He provides for us, even in our moments of weakness. He steps in to care for us, even when we’re struggling with sin. His mercy and grace help us walk away from sin and live a life that pleases Him.
Scripture reminds us, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). God’s grace is not a crutch for us to live however we want (Romans 6:15). Instead, we should allow His Spirit to fill us daily, walking in gratitude and humility, loving God with all our hearts. For without Him, we can do nothing. But with Him, we can do all things. Praise His holy name!
So let us all be forever grateful..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen & Amen..Be blessed today my dear friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
