”Living for the Lord!”

“My sister Judy and I were talking while she was coming home from work one morning. We were discussing how we choose what we do in life. I told her, “Every day, from the moment we wake up, every step we take, and everything we do, we have a choice. We choose what we’re going to say, how we’re going to respond, and what direction we’re going to go. Everything is about our choices. Amen.”

I hope we understand that with every choice, we are shaping our lives—the kind of life we are going to live and the kind of life we want to have. Amen. It’s possible to be children of the Lord and still live miserably. We can go to church and still be miserable. Amen. We can be married, have the best job in the world, and still be miserable. Amen. Why? Because it comes down to our choosing—the choices we make in each moment shape our lives. Amen.

At the end of the day, the life we live is the result of the choices we’ve made. Amen. Life isn’t easy—we all face battles—but we have the power to choose well if we want to. Amen. We can choose peace and to live in peace. We can choose how we respond to situations. We can choose to be kind, to help, to love, to care, to walk away, or to hold our tongues. Amen. We can also choose to stop murmuring and complaining about everything and anything. Once again, we choose our lives.

I once heard a preacher say, “Grace covers sins, but grace also gives us the power to make right choices.” Amen. Think about that for a moment. How often have we blamed others for our unhappiness or the direction of our lives? But the truth is, no one has the power—or should have the power—to take away our happiness. That only happens when we choose to take our eyes off Jesus and place them on people. Amen.

This morning, I ask all of us: Can we still make positive decisions even after experiencing negative outcomes? Amen. Can we still choose well even when things don’t go our way? Amen. That’s where we find victory in life—when we choose to follow the Lord’s ways instead of the world’s ways. Regardless of what happens, we can live great lives.

Do we always get it right? No, we don’t. But we get up and keep going. Amen. How we act and respond in life often becomes a habit, so we must learn to look at ourselves honestly. As 1 Corinthians says:
“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abides faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:11-13).

Choosing well comes from love. Choosing well comes from growing up. Choosing well comes from choosing to please the Lord and seek His approval above all else—not the approval of man or even ourselves. Amen.

For it is in His name, Jesus’ name.that I do and ask pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
