”Are you ready for heaven?!”

I keep thinking about the Lord this morning and at and how He told us that He goes away to prepare a place for us, and that He will come again to receive us to Himself, so that where He is, we may be also. Amen. We know that this beautiful place the Lord is preparing is heaven. I can only imagine how beautiful and wonderful it will be, with all the preparation He is putting into it. Amen.

John wrote in the book of Revelation that he saw the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And God Himself will be with His people, and He will be their God. He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, no more sorrow, no more crying, and no more pain, for the former things will all pass away (Revelation 21:1-5). Amen.

In that same chapter of Revelation, we are given a glimpse of what it shall look like. It will have twelve gates, three on each side. There will be streets of gold, gates of pearl, and every type of jewel we can imagine. Amen. There will be no need for the sun or the moon, for the glory of God will provide the light. Amen. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will enter this city, for nothing unclean will ever enter the city of God (Revelation 21:15-27). Amen.

So this morning, I must ask: Are you excited about this wedding? This great and amazing day when God will call us away to be with Him forever in the place He has prepared? Because I must say, I am so excited about heaven and seeing my loved ones who are already there. Amen. There is no place we have ever been that could compare. No eye has seen, no ear has heard what God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). Amen.

At times, we may lose sight of this goal and purpose because we are living in this world. But we are told to keep our focus, run our race (Hebrews 12:1-2), and live for Jesus, day in and day out, doing our best. We are to stay washed, clean, and holy before our Maker, for He is holy, and we, too, should be holy (1 Peter 1:16). Amen.

Let us keep ourselves always adorned and ready for the Lord in case He comes today to call us away. Are we ready? Can we stand unashamed before Him in all His majesty? I pray that we all keep ourselves before the Lord, with our robes white, knowing that today could be the day our Maker calls us away. Amen!

For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
