”Approved by God!”

“We all desire and seek approval—from others, from ourselves, and for what we do. When we don’t receive that approval as we’re used to, we may start feeling inadequate. This can lead us to work harder and harder to earn acceptance from others because it brings us a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. We feel validated, accepted, and, as I like to say, approved. Amen. However, in striving for approval from others, we often end up exhausted—mentally and physically—all in an effort to gain acceptance. Amen. And somehow, amid this search for approval from others, we sometimes lose sight of seeking God’s approval for ourselves and our lives. Amen!”

“But how many of you know this morning that only God’s approval is truly needed for the deep satisfaction and fulfillment we’re longing for in our lives, in our minds, and in our hearts? See, people can never give us the acceptance that genuinely satisfies. It might feel good for a moment, but that’s all. We don’t need their approval for our lives to be fulfilled. Amen. Jesus Christ has already stamped His approval on us and our lives. And once again, people are just people; they will disappoint and let us down because they, too, are seeking approval. And that approval can only come from our Lord Jesus. So today, I am reminded yet again that only the Lord’s approval matters for my life. I don’t need anyone else’s. Amen!”

“As the Scripture says, ‘Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.’ (Galatians 1:10) Amen. And it also says, ‘No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.’ (Matthew 6:24) Amen. Spending time with Christ through prayer gives us confidence in who we are. But when we start looking at others and how they treat or reject us, we take our eyes off Jesus and the words He speaks over us and our lives. Amen. Our worth isn’t found in people; it’s found in Christ and Christ alone. Amen!

So let’s pray and seek God’s face for our lives, asking Him to fill us with the assurance of His love and acceptance of who we are. Amen. He calls us His beloved (1 John 3:2). What a Savior we serve! He calls us chosen (John 15:16; Ephesians 1:4-6). He calls us His child (1 John 3:1). He calls us His friend (James 2:23). So hold on to the truth today and stay in the truth that the Lord gives. Don’t get tangled up in distractions or confusion because our God is not a God of confusion but a God of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Amen.

For it is in His name of Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray. Amen and Amen, Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi.”
