“The man said yesterday, ‘Yes, it is good to pray, but just because you pray doesn’t mean you’ll always get the things you ask for. The Lord doesn’t always give you what you want.’ I replied, ‘Sir, you are correct. But the Lord always gives us what we need. Amen.’
We can all look back over our lives and recognize times when we thought we knew what we needed or where we needed to be. We were sure we were right. But now, with hindsight, we see that those weren’t the things we truly needed, and those weren’t the places we were meant to be. Amen. Thank God that He didn’t just give us everything we asked for in those moments. Yes, sometimes God delays answering our prayers, but often, it’s not a delay—it’s an answer, though it’s hard for us to accept. And so we may live in sadness, mourning, and begging the Lord to give us certain things or place us in certain situations, yet He hasn’t. Amen!
But we must remember that God is always working for our good, even when we cannot see it (Romans 8:28). We have to trust that God gives us what we need, exactly when we need it. Amen!
Because God loves us and sees everything, He knows what’s best for us and for the calling He has placed on our lives. So today, if you feel that the Lord isn’t answering your prayers the way you expect, my hope—for you and for myself—is that we trust Jesus, regardless of the answer. Let’s learn to live in the moment, knowing that while we may make our plans, God directs our steps (Proverbs 3:6). No matter what happens, we must live fully in the present, enjoying life, and cultivating godliness with contentment. The scripture says that this is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6-11). Amen!
Our lives are but a moment, meant to be lived daily. If we keep dwelling on our own thoughts and expectations, instead of letting go and trusting the Lord, we miss out on life. We miss today. And we may never experience the happy and blessed life that Jesus died for us to have. Amen. So let us give it all to Jesus, keep praying, but also remember that the Lord is in control. He knows what’s best for each of us in the lives we live. Amen! For it is in His name Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray, Amen and Amen. Be blessed today my dear friends and wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi”
