”Keep God first place!”

“The struggle of our lives is simply keeping the Lord first in everything—our hearts, our minds, our daily living, and our choices. That’s where the real struggle begins for all of us. It’s not that we don’t love the Lord, because of course we do, but the challenge is that we live in a fallen world where everything constantly bombards us—our thoughts, our vision, our choices, and our decisions. There’s always some sort of compromise happening. We are constantly being pulled between right and wrong, in a battle between good and evil. And somehow, we may think we aren’t, but we are, every day.

As the Bible says in Ephesians 6:12-13, ‘For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.’ It’s not people, per se, but the fleshly desires we live with. James 1:14-15 tells us that we are tempted by our own desires, and when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin. We want our own way; we’ve been like that since we were babies. I once heard a pastor say that you don’t have to teach a child to lie—it just comes naturally. But we do have to teach them not to lie, not to be mean, not to steal, cheat, or manipulate. These things don’t come naturally.

Even though we serve the Lord, we fall down. But daily, we are called to pick up our crosses and follow Him (Matthew 16:24). We are to pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18), finding our place with the Lord and drawing from His well that never runs dry (John 4:14). This is our fuel for the day. When we take time to be with the Lord, to give Him our day, and place Him back at the center of our hearts and minds, we are better equipped to stay away from the sins that try to pull us down. Amen!”

When we care about what the Lord thinks—how He feels about what we say and do—we make better choices. We live a better, happier life. At the end of the day, it’s just you and your choices, and you have to deal with them. So, stay close to the Father. Stay close to His heart. Seek to please the audience of One—Jesus Christ, our Lord, our best friend, our Helper, our Healer, our Freedom, and our Protector. When God says ‘no,’ it’s only because He loves us and wants what’s best for us. Amen!”

Keep Jesus first in your life, your thoughts, and your heart. Live and shine your best life by choosing the Lord over and over, day after day. For it is in His name, Jesus’ name that I do ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today my dear sweet friends, and remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
