“If only we would look for the Lord in the small things that concern our lives, we would remain happy all the days of our lives. Amen. When we wake up in the morning, stepping out of a cozy, warm bed, with a sound mind and the ability to see all our blessings—just as (Psalm 68:19) says, God continually loads us with blessings—we are reminded of His grace. From having a home, food, family, friends, our jobs, and church, to simply being able to walk and talk, and to enjoy the seasons of our lives. Smiling, laughing—all day long, we see God’s grace and love extended to each of us. It’s in these little things that we see Him: through a compliment someone gives, the kindness in someone’s eyes, the joy in life itself. Even in the small birds that come to rest near your home or the squirrels playing freely in your yard. Amen!
It’s through all of these good things—these little things—that God speaks to us and reveals Himself. Amen. When we seek the Lord throughout our day, we will find Him, as promised in (Jeremiah 29:13) in everything that concerns us and our lives. We serve a wonderful Lord! My prayer today is that you look at life through eyes of love, seeking God in the small things of your life. Those little things are, in truth, the big things. They always speak volumes to us. A life filled with happiness leads to a life of joy and peace, so let’s choose happiness. Let’s choose to look for God in every moment that concerns us. Amen!
