”God gives wisdom!”

“If every time something falls apart, someone cuts us off, or if someone lies about us, talks about us, makes things up, or puts us down, and we get mad, angry, upset, bitter, cold, and completely devastated—then guess what? We’re always going to be that way. You see, life is full of people, and some are going to love us, while others are going to hate us. That’s the truth, the whole truth. It doesn’t matter if we’re the kindest, nicest, most loving, and caring people out there. It doesn’t matter if we’re the ones who always do everything for everybody. It doesn’t matter how much we go out of our way for people because, honestly, we’re going to be hated on regardless. No, I’m not trying to discourage anyone this morning, but I’m just speaking the truth—because the truth is what helps us, and the truth is what sets us free. John 8:32. Amen!

“So the point is this: if we get all torn up every single time something happens, then we’re always going to be torn up. And that’s not a place any of us should ever be in our lives. When we know who we are personally—and I do say this often—then it doesn’t matter what others say about us because we know ourselves. And when things happen, which they will—because the Bible says that it rains on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45)—if we become a total mess, then we will stay a total mess for the rest of our lives. Problems are always going to occur; none of us are exempt from them. We all face the same types of challenges in life, but the key is not letting these problems, lies, or whatever it may be, get the best of us. We must not let circumstances change who we are, for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). The devil knows what gets to us, what strings to pull, and what bothers us most. So what does he do? He uses those very things to bait us. And if we keep taking the bait every time he throws it out there, guess what? He’s going to keep throwing it out there. Amen!

“So I pray that we all have the wisdom to recognize what’s happening in our lives when these challenges arise. The Bible says that if we lack wisdom, we should ask the Lord, and He will give us the wisdom we need (James 1:5). The Word of God also says that the Lord has made us wiser than our enemies (Psalm 119:98). Hallelujah! We must stop ourselves and control our reactions when problems occur in our lives. It’s a growth process, but we can all grow, and we should all be growing because we are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). We are called to become more like Him daily. If we are moved by our circumstances and situations, then we haven’t yet become who we’re meant to be for the Lord. It’s a daily journey of picking up our crosses and following Him. It’s one thing to know the Word of God, but it’s an entirely different challenge to live out what we know. That’s the hard part—walking in obedience to what God’s Word says. So let us pray always and live our lives the way God would have us live, not as puppets for the devil to manipulate. Recognize and know when these challenges come your way, and choose to rise above them. Don’t let them control you and steal your peace; instead, choose to control the situation. Choose to rise up and move forward in peace, love, and godly contentment. For the scripture says, ‘I have learned to be content in all things’ (Philippians 4:11). That’s our goal—to be content always, anchored and firmly secured, resting in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen and Amen.

Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember: wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all. Mandi.”
