My Pastor preached and said: do not catch the bad thoughts but rather catch the good ones. Amen. Just as we catch faith, we also catch fear. Amen. Our minds are places where we win or lose. Many live their lives in defeat because their minds take them down pathways they don’t want to be on. Initially, the thought may seem good, but the destination can be undesirable. Amen.
We can be up one moment and fall into deep depression the next, all due to our own mindsets. We lose and fall into this trap by catching what the enemy has placed there instead of discerning its origin. We play around with these thoughts, indulge in them, and even enjoy them momentarily. Amen.
Sooner or later, these thoughts lead us to destinations we don’t want to be at. We end up overwhelmed, hurt, angry, and mad. We find ourselves in a state of defeat, feeling not good enough, not smart enough. This list is not from our Father but from the enemy of our souls. We go along with it, letting these thoughts run rampant in our minds, hearts, and lives, messing with our feelings and emotions. We end up opposite of what the Lord says about us, becoming a mess. We keep wounds open that God has already healed, keep relationships torn apart that the Lord has mended, and live in fear and failure even though the Lord says, “I have not given you a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). Amen.
So, I ask us all, what thoughts have we been catching? Amen. I pray with everything in me that we are wise and smart, catching all that God says about us. Amen. When we get on the ride of life, let’s ride with Jesus and His word, praising the Lord and what He says. The enemy should not be permitted to join us. There isn’t room for any hitchhiker, especially one that will steal, kill, and destroy who the Lord desires us to be (John 10:10). Amen.
Some trust in chariots and horses, but we will trust in the name of the Lord our God (Psalm 20:7). Amen. We believe His report and what He alone says about us, nothing more and nothing less. What God has given and done is amazing. Know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Listen to Jesus and His voice speaking to you. Cast away anything else, don’t entertain it or play with it. In Jesus’ name, I ask and pray. Amen and Amen.
Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends. Remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all. Mandi
