“So it’s been a while that I’ve read in the book of Daniel but yesterday I read through it..but what caught my attention more so than any of it was chapter 4 in Daniel and it was about King Nebuchadnezzar..and at how he was such a haughty and proud man..he was all about himself and his riches and gave all glory and praise simply to him..no one else and nothing else..just him..Amen..but what was astounding was the fact that the Lord was trying to humble him..and He comes to him in a dream and the dream was a dreadful one at that..so the King seeks out wise council on the interpretation of it..but no one could interpret it for him so he calls for Daniel..and Daniel does just that for him..and the interpretation was not one that he was looking for..(Daniel 4:7-17)..Amen!”
”So long story short Daniel tells the King that if he would renounce his sins and his wickedness and do the right thing and be kind to the oppressed that the dream might not be fulfilled unto him and his prosperity would continue for him..if he would humble himself..(Daniel 4:27)..Amen..because the thing is this..God was letting the King know that He alone is God and God over it all..that it’s only through Him that any of his blessings came to him..that without the Lord he could not do anything in his life..but mostly the Lord was trying to save the Kings life and his soul..Amen!”
”But scripture says that the King disregarded the dream and the interpretation of it..so the word says a year went by and one day while the King was on his roof at the royal palace of Babylon and he was lifting himself up yet once again about how mighty he is and what great power he has..then all of a sudden the voice came from heaven and said this is what has been decreed for you King Nebuchadnezzar your royal authority has been taken from you..(Daniel 4:28-32)..Amen..so at that moment he lost his mind and became as a wild animal like an ox..he was driven away from people for seven years he ate grass..his body was drenched with dew..his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle..his nails were like the claws of a bird..(Daniel 4:33)..Amen!”
”But after the seven years the King said he lifted his eyes towards the heaven and his sanity was restored and he praised and honored and glorified God the most high God..(Daniel 4:34)..Amen..and my thoughts were that God will go through great measures to humble us..but as well save our souls from dying and going to an eternal hell..Amen..it says that C.S. Lewis once said that as long as you are proud you cannot know God..Amen..because scripture says that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble..so it tells us to humble ourselves under the Lords mighty hands and that He will exhalt us in due time..(1 Peter 5:5-6)..Amen..for with pride as well comes a fall..for with pride in our hearts and lives it destroys us as a people for God..because we can’t be with pride and haughtiness..because arrogance comes with those things..but the scary thing is that we do throw to the side what God can do in our lives and what God can take away ever so quickly in our lives..merely for being disobedient and not listening to His still small voice..because even with the King..God gave him grace for a whole year..before He drove him out away from people to be like a wild animal for seven years..Amen..so I have to say that God is the most high God and our relationship with Him is truly a personal one..we may have many things in our lives that is not right but one thing I can truly rest to say to us all is I pray that we are humble people that we are kind people and that our hearts are not full of pride and or bitterness..Amen!”
”But I do pray that we lift up Jesus above all..and that we do give Him and Him alone all the praise..the glory and the honor for it all..Amen..but to follow through to the end of it all is that everything was restored unto the King..and he became more mighty then he ever was before..God gave him it all back plus more..(Daniel 4:36-37)..Amen..so the point of it is this..never be so high minded that somewhere along the way you leave the Lord out of the equation of your life..Amen..because without Him we do not have a life whatsoever..but with Him we have everything that will ever need in our lives because He alone is the giver of life..(Genesis 2:7)..Amen..whether on the mountain top of life or in the valley..He blesses..He restores..and He speaks peace..Amen..so give God all praise and daily so..for He alone deserves it all..because He is Lord and Lord over all..Amen..for it is in His name..Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen & Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends..and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
