”Peace with God!”

Having peace with God is a personal relationship with Him and Him alone. No one else can give us that peace in our minds, hearts, and lives—only Jesus can. This peace is an inward kind, not just a facade where you smile and say all is well, but it honestly isn’t. It’s not okay in your life or your relationship with the Lord. The masks we wear can be quite scary, especially now when everyone is literally wearing masks. I see this both naturally and spiritually. People wear masks not only on their faces but also spiritually, never reaching a place of true peace with the Lord. They can’t be open and honest in their lives or be themselves. But if we as children of the Lord can stand unashamed before our Father in heaven, surely we can stand before man and be free.

Peace in our lives starts with us and our relationship with the Lord. It begins with being honest with the Lord and our lives and being obedient to Him. The Lord speaks to us, warns us, and gives us instructions to live by, not because He just wants to impose rules, but because He wants us to live great, peaceful, and drama-free lives. He corrects and warns because He loves us so much. If we heed the Lord’s desires for us more than people’s desires, we would have great lives. But when we disregard the Lord’s wishes, trouble, heartaches, and problems usually follow. Peace comes from a heart and life of obedience, stemming from a personal relationship with the Lord our God.
Life isn’t perfect because we live in a fallen world, and problems do come. But with the Lord, we walk through them strong, as Ephesians 6:10 says. The Bible tells us, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Praise the Lord! When we stay connected to the Lord and His will for our lives, we go through life’s troubles with peace in our hearts. Life isn’t perfect, and troubles and problems will be present, but we handle them better, with confidence in the Lord to see us through, to hold our hand, and sometimes carry us. Without the Lord, we wouldn’t make it.

My prayer is that we all remain obedient to Jesus and His will and plans for us. That we listen to His still small voice, for our Lord is a gentleman who need not raise His voice but nudges our hearts and leads us along the right path. We serve a great God who is always there and always for us, loving us like no other. Have a wonderful day, and know that obedience to the Lord brings a life full of peace. In Jesus’ name, I ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all.
