”God’s will!”

“I think that for most of us in our lives, when the heat of life is turned up just a little, the ole devil always tries to get us to quit, to throw in the towel, because we are not a generation that likes to be in pain or in any situation where we feel the heat or the pressures of life. Amen. We get uncomfortable in a place and immediately our minds assume that surely this isn’t God’s will for our lives. Am I not right? But it’s in these times that I would love to come to each of you this morning and just say that I never want you to forget our Lord Jesus. As He went through life on earth, He never sinned, and He never backed away from what God our Father desired from Him. Even on the Mount of Olives, as sweat and blood ran down our Lord’s face, He still looked up and said, ‘Nevertheless, Father, not my will but yours be done’ (Luke 22:39-42). Amen. So today, is that your heart and prayer? Is that ‘nevertheless’ spirit resting on you? Whether you’re on the mountaintop of life soaring with our Lord, or down low in the valley, is that your attitude? Is it regardless of any of it that you choose to say nevertheless? Amen. Or do you murmur and complain? Do you get angry? Maybe a little mad or upset? My heart and prayer for us all is that we abide in the Lord, for Scripture says that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:4-5). Amen.
For when we realize that this life isn’t about us, but it’s all about Him, and that we are striving daily to do the Lord’s will in our lives, not ours, because God’s ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not like ours, for His ways and thoughts are much higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). So know that you are in the Lord’s hands, and know that our Father always knows best for you and your life. So stay before the Master, lay your cares and burdens at His feet (Psalms 55:22 / 1 Peter 5:7). Keep your eyes on the prize of life, which is heaven. Amen. Don’t get distracted, I pray, but keep your focus on the big picture. Amen. Don’t base life on just what you can see, but look with eyes of faith towards the heavens and at all the Lord has prepared for whosoever will (John 14:2-3). Amen. So have a blessed and beautiful day. Go forth leading and guiding others to Christ. Go be that voice crying in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord. Go shine as brightly as you can, sharing the gospel and shining our Lord’s light. For it’s just a little light that repels the darkness. So be blessed and know that you are blessed. Always choose to say to our Father, ‘Nevertheless, my Lord, not my will but yours be done.’ Amen. For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all, Mandi.”
