The story rings true for every single one of us as believers and children of the Lord. We all must remain—and I mean remain—anchored and secure in the Lord because we are ever so fiercely fought against regarding who we are, what we stand for, and in whom we believe. Amen. So, when the storms come, when the enemy comes, when the problems persist, when the bills are due, when the bank account is low, when sickness tries to house our bodies, when life, in general, comes—what do we do, guys? Do we lose sight? Do we get discouraged? Do we drift away from the dock, so to speak? What is it that you and I do when all these things come to distract, tempt, or discourage us, or bring us to our knees in that moment of despair?
My hope and prayer this morning for each of us is that life is going to happen. It happens suddenly at times, and sometimes quickly. But my prayer is that we remain, that we stay anchored, secure, and faithful to the Lord, that we know without a shadow of a doubt that our Lord is with us (Deuteronomy 31:6). Our Lord is our strong tower (Psalm 18:2/Proverbs 18:10). He is the mighty Warrior (Exodus 15:3/Zephaniah 3:17/Jeremiah 20:11). He is our healer (Exodus 15:26), our deliverer (2 Samuel 22:2/Psalm 18:2). He is the one who calms every storm in life (Mark 4:35-41). Amen!
For you see, guys, He alone is in control over it all. Regardless of what we see or don’t see, our Lord is in the midst of it all, and He is always on time for you, me, and our lives. There is nothing—absolutely nothing—that He cannot do. So, whatever it is this very day that life is throwing your way or into your boat of life, I pray we remain and stay focused and anchored. We don’t lose heart, but stay close to our Father in heaven and pray as if we’ve never prayed before because we know that He hears us and loves us. We don’t let go of His hand, and we don’t let the enemy of our souls try to discourage us into believing that our Lord doesn’t hear or care, because He loves us ever so much. He is fighting our every battle, even now as I am typing. Our Father is fighting for you and me. What a magnificent Lord we serve!
Scripture says that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord our God will raise a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). He tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace to find help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). So remember and always know that you are in the Lord’s boat of life. He alone has guided, kept, and ever so gently protected you, and there is nothing He will not do for you or your life. He is faithful and ever so true. Be still and know that He is God and that He will be exalted among the nations (Psalm 46:10).
In Jesus’ name, I ask and pray, Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all, Mandi.
