”Worship!”

I keep thinking about one of my Bible fellowship classes where we discussed worship. We talked about how the angels of the Lord are continually bowing, praising, and loving our Father. Amen. In Revelation, it says they have no rest day or night, for they are saying, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come” (Revelation 4:8). The Word of God tells us that we were made to worship the Lord, for He alone deserves all praise, glory, and honor. Amen. We are told to enter His courts with praise and thanksgiving and bless His name continually. Amen. Psalm 150 says we are to:

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet; praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance; praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals; praise him upon the high-sounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:1-6)

Amen!

I wonder this morning, do we live our lives as an act of worship unto the Lord? Do we only praise Him on the good days of life? Do we only worship in the church house, or should I say the sanctuary? Our lives should be a continual act of pleasing the Lord. I once read that living a life of true worship is a life lived well when we dedicate it all to the Lord: our work lives, our family lives, our friendships—literally everything of who we are—as an act of worship unto the Lord. It says that every bit of work we do will become worship, doing it unto the Lord with a complete awareness of His presence, knowing that He never leaves us and that He is everywhere with us at all times. So we deny our lives and live them unto Jesus. True worship happens when our entire lives become a declaration of total and complete surrender unto the Lord. Amen!

Worship is everything of who we are. We praise the Lord at all times in everything we do, in everything we say, in the way we live our lives, and in the way we conduct ourselves. Every ounce of it is given as worship, love, and adoration unto the Lord our God. He knows and sees all. He says He knows our thoughts from afar (Psalm 139:2). Before a word is on our lips, He already knows (Isaiah 65:24, Psalm 19:14, Psalm 139:4). Amen. So know that worship is more than the songs we sing; worship is literally the very core of who we are as individuals. Let us live our lives well for Him, crying as the angels in heaven do, proclaiming with all that we are:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”

Amen. It is in His sweet, sweet name that I ask and pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all. Mandi
