”Worry the great thief!”

“Worry is the great thief. If we start thinking about things and worrying ourselves about life’s issues, we will begin to feel bad and lose every ounce of our joy. The devil escalates the problem, making something out of nothing, and we will believe those lies if we keep worrying about things that are probably out of our control anyway. When we begin to worry, we are not solving anything. We only put ourselves in a bad and sad attitude, losing our day, our joy, and ultimately our peace.
The best way to handle worry when it starts to flood our minds and fog our vision is to take that worry and give it to the Lord. Let His peace, joy, and strength rise up in us. Worrying is like a rocking chair; we can rock and rock but get nowhere. The same is true with worrying—we can worry and worry, but it gets us nowhere. Today, let us do as the word of God tells us and pray continually, for that is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Amen!

In the book of Matthew, it says, “Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the tomorrow: for the tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:25-34). Amen!

When we take our eyes off from where they need to be, we miss out on a whole lot of things. Trust is the most important thing in our relationship with the Lord. When we trust Him, we let go of the worries, heartaches, pains, and confusion, giving it all to the Lord. Our lives are meant to be lived abundantly (John 10:10). With Jesus on our side, we can live abundantly, for God takes care of His children. Daily He feeds us, shelters us, and protects us. So let us stop worrying, be thankful, joyful, and always choose to be happy. God’s joy is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and there is nothing more beautiful than a happy, fulfilled Christian who is serving and loving the Lord, confident that God is more than enough for everything that concerns them and their lives.

Let us have a great day, a happy, positive one, shining and sharing the gospel of Christ. It is in Jesus’ name that I ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all, Mandi.”
