“Don’t overthink it!”

So many of us, I believe, overanalyze situations. We overthink so much in our lives that we rarely accomplish anything. We have good intentions, but when we overthink, we end up doing nothing. Remember, faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26). Nothing gets done without taking action. Overthinking can lead us to miss out on meaningful opportunities to serve the Lord. It all depends on our mindset. We can easily talk ourselves out of doing meaningful things for God.

God has equipped each of us (Romans 8:30, Hebrews 13:21) with unique gifts and talents. However, He doesn’t force us to do anything; it takes our willingness and obedience to complete His work. What God calls me to do might be different from what He calls you to do. The scripture tells us that before the Lord formed us in our mothers’ wombs, He knew us and predestined us for great things (Jeremiah 1:5, Romans 8:29). We always have choices to make in life, and only we can make them for ourselves.

It’s easy to make life-changing decisions when we follow our gifts and talents. God wants us to be happy, so we should do what we love and what we’ve been called to do. Being who we are is a beautiful and gracious gift, not only to ourselves but also to the Lord. We are all created the same, yet equipped differently. Use your abilities, and put effort into the things Christ has given you. Someone, somewhere, needs what only you can provide. Spread the gospel, share the light, and be about our Father’s business, for life is too short for anything else.

In Jesus’ name, I ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all Mandi
