“Correct me Lord!”

“For the most part, we all think of correction as being a part of the process of only being a child. Amen. As adults, we think we are grown, so to speak. Amen. We think that we need no correction from anyone, and if someone does try to correct us, we get offended. We get mad and say lots of things—Amen—probably more than we should. Amen. But I tell you this much: we all need correction, and maybe not always as an adult, but we do need correction because we can end up doing things and acting in ways that we don’t even realize. Amen. Usually, those things never come to light until someone is brave and bold enough to speak out to us about them. Amen. We often never see the error of our ways because we are used to ourselves. Amen. We overlook ourselves or justify everything we do in our lives to fit the mold we want. Amen. That is not a good place for any of us to be because that can end up being a bad thing for us all if we justify our every move and action rather than following God’s word and being obedient to Him (John 14:15). If we are apart from that, we end up in self and loads of sin. These things don’t happen overnight; it is little by little. It happens by stopping and walking away from all that is right and true in life. Amen.

So this morning, I just wanted to ask us all: Are we that friend, mother, sister, or spouse that speaks when we see the error? Or do we simply overlook it, turn our heads, and never say a thing? Amen. Because the only way that anything starts to be fixed in our lives is when it comes to light. Amen. When it is spoken, it is revealed. Amen. Many say, “Well, I am not getting in their business.” Amen. But let me just say, sometimes you have to get in the business. Sometimes you have to speak regardless, especially if God is showing you these things. You must do your part and say what needs to be said. Amen. It is about a life and their soul. Amen. So don’t be the quiet one who does not say what needs to be said. Falling away and doing your own thing is not good for any of us. So again, I’ll leave you with this scripture: “For whom the Lord loves, He corrects” (Proverbs 3:12). Amen. Let us love enough to say what needs to be said to those in our lives. Don’t let them fall by the wayside and end up on that broad road. For the Lord says, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14). Amen. My whole heart is that we all are on and stay on that narrow pathway that leads to life. Praise the Lord. It is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all, Mandi.
