“Kindness!”

“Kindness costs us nothing, yet its benefits reach beyond anything we could achieve on our own. It touches the hearts of those around us, demonstrating love and care, showing that we are different and friends of the Most High God. When we show kindness, we model after the Lord and His character, for He is kind, helping, and sacrificing for all (Romans 10:13-15). We are called to be like Him, to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:15-17), denying ourselves, picking up our crosses, and following Him (Matthew 16:24-26/Luke 9:23), letting go of sin in our lives.

However, kindness alone does not save us or signify that we are living rightly with Christ, for Jesus is the only way to the Father (Matthew 11:25/Luke 10:21). While we may be kind and caring toward others, if our lives are marred by sin, we must repent and seek forgiveness, not presuming upon God’s grace. We should strive to please God in all aspects of our lives, avoiding anything that displeases Him, for His word and nature are unchanging (Numbers 23:19/Hebrews 13:8/James 1:17).

My prayer is that we would be more concerned with pleasing God than with the perceptions of others. God sees and knows everything about us, including what we try to hide or cover up. May He help us to live lives pleasing to Him, walking in His ways, and fulfilling the calling He has placed on us. Let us be wholehearted in our devotion, not wavering or straddling the fence between worldly desires and godliness. May everything we do and say be pleasing to the Lord, for His glory and honor. In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen. Be blessed, my dear friends, and remember to be a light for our Father wherever you go. Much love to you all, Mandi.”
