“God’s ways are higher!”

“So I’ve been reading in the book of 2 Kings and reading all about Naaman..he was the Captain..the King of Syria..very honorable..and very much known of a man of great strength..and victorious in all of his battles that he lead..but I am reading and of course we all know the story that Naaman was a leaper..Amen..and for so many they say that leprosy takes years to show or even come forth..usually 10 to even 15 years will pass before others can even recognize the leprosy..so anyways there was this young girl who worked there for King Naaman..and she speaks one day about Elisha..the man of God..at how he could heal Naaman from this leprosy that he had..so Naaman loads up to take with him..much silver and gold..and fine clothing to give unto the prophet Elisha..so he enters the land of Israel..and he goes to the house of Elisha..and there he stands at the door..and he is expecting so much to happen..he is expecting that Elisha would come and greet him..and give him some grand entrance..or some noble task to complete..but to much to his surprise..that doesn’t happen..Amen..Elisha never comes to the door..but he sends out a messenger to meet Naaman..and he says to him..go down and wash in the Jordon river seven times and you shall be clean..and Naaman was so furious that this man of God would say to him such a task to do..he couldn’t believe that he would send him to a muddy river to wash in..and he is thinking doesn’t he know who I am?..for I am Naaman the King of Syria..and he says I have a river that is close to where I live that is completely clean water..and why couldn’t I just return there and wash and be made clean..other than some dirty muddy river to go and be cleaned in..so his servant begins to speak with him and finally he talks Naaman into going down to the river Jordon and washing himself seven times to be made clean and whole..and that is exactly what happened..Naaman the bible says..was clean and that his skin was like a child’s skin..2 Kings 5:1-14..Amen!”

“And I think about us..and I think about how much do we miss all because it isn’t the way we think it should be?..Amen..it isn’t meeting our expectations of what we feel..or how we feel something should be..or how it should go in our own lives..that we think it’s too silly..or even far fetched..Amen..why would the Lord ask us to do that?..why would the Lord ask us to work there?..why would the Lord want us to move there?..why would the Lord want us to be friends with them?..and of course we all know the list goes on and on..but just as the Lord took a side trip to go over into Samaria even though that was out of His way..all because He had to meet that woman at the well..Amen..but He was obedient to God..and He went..John 4:1-42..Amen..so I can say that if the Lord is saying something a little off to your ears..or asking you to do something that doesn’t make any sense..just know there is a reason behind His asking..Amen..so we listen..we follow..and we obey..because God has something for you to receive..or something for you to give to someone..Amen..so don’t be like Naaman..and almost miss a blessing..or even a healing..all because it isn’t meeting your expectations of how you think it should be..or even how you think it should go..let us remember and always remember that God’s ways are not our ways..and His thoughts are not like ours..for His ways and His thoughts are much higher than ours..Isaiah 55:8-9..Amen..for God sees the big picture..and God knows where we need to be..and when we need to be there..so don’t miss it by your thinking..by your feelings..or by your emotions..but much rather simply be obedient..and say yes to the Lord..Amen..for there is a reason for it all..we may never understand it..but we must trust it and always follow and obey it..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
