“I have always loved the scripture in the book of Joshua that says..”But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”..Joshua 24:15..but if you look up above that word of God and you take time to read the rest of the scripture that lies there before it and actually take time to understand the rest of that word and the meaning of that verse and what Joshua was saying to the children of Israel that day is pretty amazing to say the least..for it’s not so much that we say that verse and we quote that verse for we all do I’m quite sure of it..and for many they may even have that verse hanging up on a wall of their home just as I do..but what does the rest of that verse say to us?…Well, it goes like this..”Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord..And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:..but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!”..Joshua 24:14-15..Amen!”

“So is it enough to say that as for me and my house we will serve the Lord?..is it enough to just speak them words out from our mouths?..for really the question I would ask from us all is do we serve other gods?..do we place others before our Lord?..do we straddle the fence line when it comes to our integrity?..when it comes to our honesty?..do we linger or play around in sin?..do we willfully do them things that in our heart of hearts we know without a shadow of doubt is wrong?..for you see guys in doing so we are serving other gods..we are serving our sinful selfs..we are listening and following the ways of this ole world..we are taking complete advantage of Gods grace..we are forsaking all of His goodness..by living our lives being so called lukewarm..for you see scripture says that the Lord would much rather spew us out from His mouth..Revelation 3:15-16..Amen!”

“So this morning I would ask of us all..whom is it that we’re serving?..are we following the Lord?..are we living our lives for the Lord??..are we listening to that ever so gentle and still small voice speaking unto us?..for you see guys sin is sin..and living without God in our lives isn’t at all living..Amen..and living in the ways of this world is living a life of lies and complete deceitfulness..so to be right, we do right..to please God we do daily what He alone desires from each of us..and we live our lives always pleasing our Father..so we can and we will be able to stand before our Lord unashamed..and we can declare and speak out from our hearts in all truthfulness..that as for me and my house we will serve the Lord..Amen..so my prayer is that each of us can honestly speak that with everything that is within us..and that we know that we know that we are serving the Lord..were not serving any idol..or any graven image..Exodus 20:4..but we are serving the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings..and Jesus Christ is His name..Amen..and I pray that each of us can make and declare that declaration over our lives and daily do so..always walking and abiding in our Lord and His will..living for Him and Him alone..In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray, Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
