“I always go back to Martha and Mary in the word of God especially on days that seem to be a bit much for me..and my days feel as if they’re running into one another..Amen..and I go back for the simple fact to remind myself..maybe as I am here this morning to remind you as well..that in the book of Luke when Jesus comes to a certain village is what the word says and He went to Martha’s home and she received Him in to her home..Amen..for as we all as well do..we receive the Lord into our hearts and lives..and we welcome Him into our homes..Amen..both spiritually and physically..Amen..but after the fact Martha is rushing around doing much things as Jesus was there..and her sister Mary she came along and sat down at the Lord’s feet and was there learning and hearing all that He had to say..Amen..but what happened was Martha was getting upset about doing all the work and she goes to Jesus to complain about her sister..that she is merely sitting there as I am doing it all in other words..and the Lord speaks to Martha and He says Martha, Martha..not once did He say her name but twice..He was really wanting her to pay attention..Amen..and He says you are troubled about many things..Amen..but Mary she has chosen that one thing..that needful thing that shall not be taken away from her..Luke 10:38-42..Amen..which is the word..Praise the Lord..and we as well do this same thing..we rush from one thing to another..never to slow down and really enjoy the Lord and His presence in our lives..we never slow down enough to really sit and eat at His table that He prepares for us daily..Psalm 23:5..but what we do is complain and murmur about the day..and we let ourselves get in a frenzy before our day even begins..Amen!”

“So I must ask have you taken time this morning to just merely sit down for a moment and be in the Lords presence..soaking up that one needful thing that the Lord told Martha..which He says never can be taken away from us..and that one needful thing is the word..Praise the Lord..for you see in the beginning was the word and the word was with God..and it says that the word became flesh and dwelt among us..John 1:1-14..Amen..so the one needful thing is God..Amen..that is our life..that is our health..that is our strength..that is our happiness..that is our peace..that is our joy..that is our meekness..that is our compassion..that is our forgiveness..that is our everything..Amen..so when we only welcome Him..but yet don’t really receive Him..than we are doing ourselves and huge disservice..Amen..but when we choose to help ourselves by helping ourselves..and making time to be with the Lord..than we are doing a great thing in our lives..that one needful thing that can never be taken away from us..Praise the Lord..so find your place with the Lord today..and make time for Him..get in His word..get in His presence..and there be changed..from glory to glory..go find what you need today..from that one place that always leaves us satisfied..full and content..Amen..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
