“Be still!”

“They say that we only spend about between 6-10 minutes in prayer with the Lord..but that maybe 8 of them is us talking and telling the Lord what all we need..Amen..it says we never sit still long enough to hear Him and what He is saying to us..all because we are at constant rushing in our lives..Amen..always moving toward the next thing to do..or the next goal to reach..Amen..so to be still is a hard concept for any of us really in the time and age that we live in..because it is so fast..everything is so fast paced..driving is a fast paced situation..Amen..we get out on that highway and its like we are in a race just to make it because everyone is rushing to get to work..to get home..to get to an event..we just rush and rush..we are a from the morning to the very core of night time type of people..still doing something..we never stop long enough for anything..and even eating..that is a rush..going through the drive through is a rush..and if we have to wait for a minute on any thing..or even 30 seconds..we get antsy..Amen..we just think what in the world is wrong here?..or will say well I ain’t coming back here..Amen..for as I say internet is fast..text messages is fast..everything is fast in this life right now that we live in..Amen..even yesterday Erik and I were talking to this family and we were like at times just for us to get out of our driveway takes a while..Amen..we said especially at certain times of the day..so for us we have to time it at just the right time so were not waiting just to pull out of drive way..Amen..and then we were like when we go home to West Virginia to visit it is so nice..we just get to pull right out of the drive ways..and its quiet and more peaceful..its not so hectic as it is here..and in the morning and in the night it is quiet..and you can rest..I know one morning I went home to my moms..and I went to bed at like 8 that night..and I didn’t get up all night until 11 the next morning..because its so quiet and peaceful for me..Amen..but as well I will go sit on their front porch all day long and drink my coffee and just rest..Amen..nothing at all grabbing my attention..Amen..and that is so lovely..when your younger you take all that for granted..Amen..but as you get older it is nice to be still..Amen..for in stillness we truly do rest..Amen..our minds rest..our bodies rest..Amen..we hear and we think so much more clearer than what we do when we are at a fast pace in our lives..I think thats why people love to go fishing..probably not so much fishing..but the quiet..the stillness of the water..the beauty of its surroundings..Amen!”

“But again each of us as to find our place in life to be still before the Lord..hearing Him as He speaks to us..so that we don’t miss anything that He wants from us..Amen..that we don’t just go before our Father and rush right through the conversation..the prayer..and not hear what He has to say..because prayer is that..it is a two way conversation..it isn’t nor should be one sided..just you speaking and talking and not giving Him a chance to speak..Amen..for I tell ya when God speaks all changes..and changes for the best..when we hear His plan..and what He has in store..then life is better all the way around..Amen..so scripture says be still and know that I am God..Psalm 46:10..Amen..for the Lord tells us that there remains a rest for His people that we are to enter into it..Hebrews 4:9-16..Amen..so it takes us to find the rest with the Lord..it takes us to still away and be still before Him..and instead of rushing through everything in our lives..because of the life that we live..I pray we slow down..we hear..we listen..we obey..and we rest..physically..spiritually..and mentally..Amen..that we refresh and renew our minds..and our lives..that we think about what were doing..and how were doing it..and that we push and fight for the calm and the stillness that God our Father has given for us to have..that we pursue those still calm waters..Amen..for the Lord is our Shepherd..He makes us to lie down in green pastures..He leads us beside the still waters..He restores our souls..He anoints our heads with oil..our cups overflow..Psalm 23:1-5..Amen..so let us rest in our Father..let us be still before Him and seek His face..and come alive from the dry barren land that this life tries to put and bring upon us..Gods children..and we get this from being with our Father..resting in Him..we get full..and we get filled..and we get everything it is that our bodies are needing..for He is our water when were thirsty..He is our bread the living bread when we are hungry..Amen..so if your thirsty go drink from His well that never runs dry..John 4:14..and if your hungry go eat the bread of life..John 6:51..the true bread that you’ll be so full..and so satisfied..and ever so content..Amen..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤
