“So this past Thursday on the 9th it was mine and Erik’s 27th wedding Anniversary..but today we are able to celebrate it together..Amen..but when others hear that we have been married 27 years they always will ask what do you guys do?..how in the world did you all get to 27?..do ya’ll get along?..do you all argue a lot?..do you guys just put up with each other?..and we both usually get asked a lot of questions when it comes to our marriage..and we both try our best to answer these questions to the best of our ability..because not every marriage is the same..but we always try to help people with what we do in ours..Amen..and so the first thing we say is that you have to ‘LOVE’ the person in whom you personally decide to marry..Amen..you have to know that you know deep within that this is the one that God has for you..because marriage is not anything that you step into lightly..and love must rule that marriage in all areas of the marriage..Amen..for love is what pulls you back together when the world comes against ya…when the finances get tight..when things go wrong..when situations arise..when sickness comes..when life just in general happens..you must have love..Amen..For love is where we win in marriage..because God is love..1 John 4:7-21..and if you step into a marriage without loving the person it will never work..well I mean you can stay married to someone..no problem..but I mean to be truly happy..and to be truly satisfied in it..because if you don’t love them than you will be miserable..you will begin to hate your life..and all that is around you..because you see marriage is for better or worse..for richer or poorer..it is forsaking all others..Amen..it is learning that your spouse is number one in your life..and that the same for you, you are number one in theirs..Amen..you keep your spouse in the forefront of your mind..you think of them always..ways to encourage them..to love them..to lift them up..Amen..and we do all have our moments in which we don’t agree in everything..because we are two different strong willed people..but you learn to keep peace in your home and in your life..and you learn to agree to disagree..Amen!”

“You be each others best friends in life..you never speak badly of your spouse to anyone..making them look bad..you respect each other..you speak kindly to each other..Amen..you keep doing life together..and you never stop dating them so to speak..Amen..because it is wonderful..for me I still get butterflies when I see my husband and I still get ever so excited with him and our marriage..but what I can say is don’t be ugly towards your spouse..be a good forgiver towards them..be a great supporter, be a fantastic friend with them..be their helper..for I heard a preacher say that when we’re young, we’re learning how to live with each other..but as we get older and more wiser we’re learning how to die with one another..you know because life is one day gonna be over..and the petty things you fuss over really is not at all important..so you choose your arguments carefully them disagreements that you have..for some are just as I say petty..so again the biggest thing is love..and loving them well..and at all times..For my husband is my number one guy..and when they know you love them and you know that they love you..than life is amazing..Amen..trust..respect..support..those things are a must..keeping God in the center of it all..for marriage is beautiful..and doing life with someone is great..so my prayer for us all is that none of us ever take our marriages for granted..we never forget just how much it is that we love them..so we treat them well..were kind..because sometimes we step on them ones as I say that we love the most in our lives..simply for the fact that we know they’ll forgive us and they’ll overlook us..but still that’s not a good thing at all..especially if we treat others better than we treat our own spouses..so we choose to live and abide in love..for scripture says that we can do a whole lot stuff..but if we don’t love it profits us nothing..for love suffers long, it’s kind; it envy’s not; does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up..does not behave unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things..for love never fails..1 Corinthians 13:4-8..Amen..so love your spouse..pray for them..keep them covered with your love..and your support..say thank you for all the things they do for you..whether there big things or small ones..and never stop doing life together..being each others best friends in this thing that we all call life..Amen..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
