“So I had written about this before but I thought it was so amazing and should be wrote again so you all could enjoy it..Amen..so one day a few years back while at Home Depot working an older gentleman and I was talking..and he says to me that he is only a carpenter and that he has been one for over 40 years now..and I say to him well sir that is one amazing talent and gift to have..Amen..and I go on to saying yes..this is what they said about Jesus in the bible that He was only a carpenter..that He was just Mary and Jospeh’s son..Matthew 13:55/Mark 6:3..Amen..and the man says to me oh yes ma’am your correct..and He continues on telling me this story about this ‘Miraculous Stair’ a staircase that was built in Santa Fe, New Mexico..and the name of the church it was built in was Loretto Chapel..but he says that they were in need these nuns of a staircase to be able to get up to the choir loft..and so they searched for carpenters to come and build this staircase for them..and could find no one..many came but had no help for them and couldn’t seem to figure out how to build this staircase for them..so the man went on to saying that these nuns began to pray for nine days straight..and how many of you know that prayer changes things..Amen!”
“So after much prayer there was this man that showed up..and no name for him was ever recorded in their books..and offered to build this staircase for them..He worked at night the story says in seclusion by himself..and He only bought with Him a few simple hand tools..Amen..and so this man is standing there telling me this story..and I am in amazement about the whole thing..Amen..and He says that after it was built that no one could believe it because it rises 20 feet with two full turns and has no center pole in it..held together by center pegs and glue other than nails or any other hardware..Amen..many carpenters have come to see this and say that the execution is simply incredible..Amen..so the man says that many believe that it was the Lord Himself who came to honor the prayers of them precious nuns..Amen..many think it was an angel..but who really knows..but it got my mind and my heart thinking as it always does about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..Amen!”
“So I had begun this story with He is only a carpenter..Amen..but I tell ya..just as this staircase was built..Jesus as well built a bridge to heaven for you and for me..Amen..I couldn’t help but too sing the song yesterday which is one of my most favorite songs written and sung by the Spencers from Ohio..that says this..”Just a carpenter you say..let me tell you what He built..in plain view for all to see at a place called Calvary’s hill..on a Cross made from a tree with just three rusty nails..Jesus built a bridge to heaven to save my dying soul from hell..not a tool in His hands just love in His heart..He knew He would die there..right from the very start..thank God for not my will in the garden where I failed..if you think He’s just a carpenter..take a look at what His built..Amen..and our Lord built for us the most incredible structure ever built more so than that Miraculous Stair..He built for us the most beautiful Cross ever too have ever been built for our salvation..for our freedom..for our deliverance..for whosever will..Romans 10:13/Luke 23:26-43/Matthew 27:32-56..Amen..so I pray that we never consider the Lord just a carpenter..for He is life and life everlasting for you and for me..John 17:3..for He is our everything..so take time today to thank the Lord for Calvary and thank the Lord for the Cross..and for your freedom and for your salvation..for without the shedding of blood there would be no remission for our sins..Hebrews 9:22..Amen..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤
