“So yesterday I was reading a devotion and the story was speaking about a man who was sick..and he began going to church and had told his pastor that he did not know how to really talk to the Lord and he felt kinda foolish in doing so..Amen..and so the pastor tells the man how about you get a chair and sit beside of you..and just imagine that the Lord is sitting in that chair beside you..and you just begin talking to Him..Amen..and so a few years past and the gentleman ended up passing on..and the daughter of that man told the pastor that when she had walked into the room to check on her dad..he had his head lying in the chair beside of his bed..and he was gone..Amen..and I thought how wonderful that the man grew so close to the Lord..that he knew that Jesus was there with him..in the middle of it all..there that sweet man found comfort in the arms of Jesus..Praise His name..but in the midst of that story my mind began thinking of the multiple times that Erik, Anthony and I had stopped in Groom Texas off from I-40 at the worlds largest cross..Amen!”
“And at how it is the most calmest place..so peaceful there..it’s an open field..completely huge..and it has truck parking of course..and not many is ever there..there is a bible book store there and it has everything in it..completely beautiful..and there was this little tiny older woman who worked there..and she would be all by herself..Amen..but again she wasn’t afraid..for she as well knew that the Lord was with her..Isaiah 41:10..Amen..and it also has a theater there were they show the clip of Jesus going to the cross and the torment..the pain and suffering that He endured while carrying His cross to calvary for whosoever will..Romans 10:13-15..Amen..but the thing that really got me the first time was when I begin to walk down that pathway and I walked right into the Lord standing in front of Pilate as Pilate is dipping his hands in the water representing that the blood of Jesus was off from him and he washed his hands from it..Matthew 27:24..Amen..but the whole experience was the fact that these bronze statues were life size..and my oh my it really took my breathe away..I stood there and there was such an innocence in the eyes of Jesus..as He held his head down and never to speak a word to defend Himself..Matthew 27:11-26..Amen..and I just began to cry as I stood there with His presence all around me as I took it all in..Amen!”
“At how tangible the Lord was in that moment to me..at how real it seemed just to be able to reach out and touch Him..Oh my goodness..what love and comfort was there in the midst of us..Amen..but the point of it all is that just like the man who found the Lord there with Him in a mighty way with the simple act of the chair..that man found comfort..Amen..most of the time I as well find my comfort with the Lord when I kneel down and pray before Him..I think of being there in His presence kneeling down at His feet..Amen..and it is as real as real to me as can be..Amen..so for many there are different ways we find the place of comfort to be with the Lord..and to simply talk to Him..and by talking to Him I do mean by praying to Him..because again that is just what that is..Amen..but I do hope that wherever it is for you that you find your place daily and that you do give the Lord the love and adoration that He alone deserves..for He desires us and He desires our love for Him..because with Him we grow better..and we grow less bitter..less angry..less upset and mad..for in His presence everything changes..and the best thing that changes is you and I..Amen..so let us seek the Lord and His face as the scripture says while He still yet can be found..Isaiah 55:6..Amen..for He is very well much alive and well..Amen..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray,,Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤
