“My hubby and I were talking a bit this morning and we were talking about the good ole days..Amen..and I know it’s cheesy or what not..and many live in the good ole days of their lives as to where they never live in the now of their lives..but we weren’t necessarily talking about living there..or missing it all so much that we aren’t happy now with our lives..because Lord knows we are..but what we were speaking of was the good ole gospel churches..the good ole days as to where you visited your family and would sit on them porches for hours at a time..just talking and laughing and drinking coffee..or a good ole soda pop..well..that’s what we call them in West Virginia our home sweet home..Amen..and we were talking about when you wanted to talk to someone..well..you picked up the phone and you called them up and you talked..Amen..and if you had a loved one or a birthday or what not..you would always send a card..Amen..or if you were dating someone..you would sit down and write the most beautiful love story to them..Amen..so when I think about them days..I do think oh Lord how great to go back there..to just take us back to that moment in time..where growing up we played for hours in at a time outside..for me it was riding my bike..and how I loved that..it was playing in the creek..it was making mud pies..and it was collecting rocks..and playing in the rain..how I loved that more than anything..Praise the Lord!”

“For kids now days they don’t get that..most of the time what they have is a phone in their hand..and they have computers or tv that they are looking at..you know?..but I do know that them times were wonderful times..you didn’t make excuses about church..you got up and you went regardless..and even on Wednesday night bible studies..no matter what you were doing you got up and got dressed and went..Praise the Lord..so for me those were building blocks and we built firm and solid foundations..Matthew 7:24-27..Amen..but as we were talking this morning..I said honey we still can do that..it’s just so much takes up our so called time now days..we stay entertained with ourselves..with social media..with tv..with movies..with games..with instagram..with everything else in life..other than with truly having a firm and solid life..with being entertained with church..family and friends..now that is what truly living life to the fullest means..dinners..gathering around the camp fire..gathering around the kitchen table..and more than that gathering around the altar..so today I have asked the Lord to show me ways to be better in this area of mine and my families life..for us to start now building again them firm and solid foundations for not only my family..but for my grandchildren and my great grand children..for one day Erik and I will have them..Amen..so we start today with change..because again change begins with you and I..taking one day at a time doing better than that of the day before..Amen..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
