“Always keep a smile on your face and a song in your heart!”

Song in your heart

“There is coming a day..when no heartaches shall come..no more clouds in the sky..no more tears to dim the eyes..all is peace forevermore..on that happy golden shore..what a day..glorious day..that will be..what a day..that will be..when my Jesus I shall see..when I look upon His face..the one who saved me by His grace..and when He takes me by the hand..and leads me through that promised land..what a day..glorious day..that will be..they’ll be no sorrows there..no more burdens to bare..no more sickness..no more pain..no more parting over there..all is peace forevermore..on that happy golden shore..what a day..glorious day..that will be..what a day..that will be when our Jesus we shall see..and He takes us by the hand and leads us through that promised land..and we look upon His face..the one who saved us by His grace..what a day..glorious day..that will be..Amen..so yes, I started out my devotion with a song..and my heart and my prayer as I was typing this..was that each of you..if you knew this song..was as well singing right along with me..Amen!”

“So the whole thing of this was to give a little insight to one of the stories I read last night before bed..and it was beautiful to say the least..it was about a man who was blind..and was in this busy section of town..and he was holding a cup..very rough looking the story says..his clothes were ripped and torn..he was very dirty..the story says that you could tell he was homeless..but what caught the attention of the man who wrote the story was the fact that all of these people were passing him by and very quickly at that..some were well off..some students..some were business executives..some were nurses..doctors and so forth..heading on with their day..some were not very happy..some were very focused..and some didn’t even have a smile on their faces..all the while there stood this man..whom was completely blind..and didn’t have anything whatsoever of material possessions..but he stood there tall and proud singing and smiling with everything in him..he wasn’t begging..he was content with whatever he would have gotten..Amen..but the guy whom wrote this said I wonder if those ones in whom are passing him would love to trade places with him?..to be able to have their joy restored?..to be able to find true and lasting contentment?..I wonder if they would want to take time to let go of the world and the responsibilities for but a moment?..just to be able to see as this blind man was seeing?!..Amen..even though he had no sight..for I believe that this man found Jesus first and foremost..because the Lord is our true and lasting contentment and happiness..Romans 15:13/2 John 1:12..Amen!”

“But as well I believe in finding Jesus..that he as well received and believes the promises of God for him and his life..that says that we are to store up our treasures in heaven..for it says that where our treasures are there as well will be our hearts..Matthew 6:19-21..Amen..and as well it says that godliness with contentment it is of a great gain..1 Timothy 6:6-11..Amen..so I wonder today just how many of us keep a song in our hearts?..just how many of us store up our treasures in heaven with Jesus?..and truly just how many of us are content with the little that we may have too even the much that we may have?..for I believe that with everything in me..that this life and this ole world isn’t our home by far..but what we do while we’re here is going to make lasting impact to all those that will follow behind us and our footsteps that we will leave behind..Amen..so the fact of the matter is simply this..life is but a vapor..James 4:14..and our happiness..our joy and our peace has nothing to do with anything here in this world in which we live..but the truest of it all is found in Christ and our personal one on one relationship with Him..so if your looking for more than what you have right now in your life..if your searching for an answer to a question..if you feel like life is a mess and life is overwhelming..my prayer for you is to find your place and to be still before Jesus and ask of Him to fill you up to the overflow with everything of who He is..don’t get excess in your life..keep it simple..for simple is great..Amen..and a life lived for Jesus is the best life you’ll ever live..so keep your song in your heart always..don’t let this world overwhelm or steal anything that has been given so freely to you and your life and your world in which you live..for it is in Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
