“Somehow our need to tell seems to run more and more rampant among us as a society and a family..somehow we hear things..we’ve had others tell us things..and we just have to tell someone..Amen..and I wonder to myself why is it that we have the need to tell?..why do we rush to the phone..or to the internet or rush to a friend and spill the beans about it all so to speak..and really not even knowing that it is a problem that we all seem to have..Amen..so story telling has always been at high for each of us all the way back to when we were little..we would sit and make up stories..and of course you know that we have to add to the story to make it just a little bit more appealing for us all..because it can’t just be what it really was..Amen..so in the midst of that..we get to story telling when were little but as we get older we get more on the lines of as the bible calls it gossiping..Proverbs 11:9/Proverbs 11:13/Proverbs 16:28..and my definition of that is adding lib..if that it is a word..I don’t really know..but I guess what I’m saying is simply this..somehow to grow up in Jesus we have to get to a place to where the story telling or that gossip stops..Amen..if someone confides in us to tell us something..that is personal..that is about them and their lives..maybe a battle their overcoming..then by all means and myself included..let us not tell another soul..Amen..or add to that story to make it more juicy or appealing to someone else..because first and foremost would we want someone to sit around with another and speak about us..for we are not writing about a whatever type of story for publicity..but we are speaking and writing or typing about someone else’s life..and who they are..and that is where I think Jesus gets really hurt by us and what we continually say and speak..without ever growing up in Him..and considering the outcome of it all..because we are to bare the fruit of the spirit in our lives..and we are to grow up to be more like Jesus and who He is..and we are to be trustworthy individuals..and when we sit and talk about others..and who they are..or what they’ve done..and we add so much foolishness to the story that is not being and witness for the Lord..but that is stirring up strife and division and those things are terrible things..Amen..so the bible speaks to us about our tongues and at how they are the smallest member of our bodies but they boast great things..and at how great a matter a little fire kindles..Amen..and at how how no man can tame the tongue that it is a unruly evil full of deadly poison..it goes on to saying that with our same tongue we bless the Lord..and we curse men which is made after the image of Christ..Amen..it says out of our same mouths proceed blessings and cursings it says those things should not be..Amen..but it finishes too say to us..who is a wise man among you filled with knowledge..let him show out of his good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom..Amen..James 3:5-13..and why would the bible say, his conversation?..well, because as well the word of God says out of the abundance of your heart your mouth will speak..Amen..Matthew 12:34/Luke 6:45..so the next time someone confides in you I’m gonna go ahead and ask you what are you going to do with that?..Amen..are you gonna run to the internet or to the phone or even to that friend of yours just so you can tell the story?..and as I said add to that story just a smidge?..or are you gonna pray for them and take that story to the Lord in prayer whatever it may be..Amen..because to gossip and spread rumors or stories about someones life is not at all a kind or even a decent thing to do..and only our repentance to the Lord to ask for His forgiveness and only our willingness not to do that is what will change us from being that person..because none of us want to be that person in life..let us be a confident..let us be really a true blue friend..and let us do unto others as we would have and like for them to do unto us..let us place ourselves in the situation when any of us would ever go to speak about someone else and their lives..Amen..and I pray that we choose not to say things about anyone else..and what they alone have said to us..Amen..let us be like the Lord and be that true blue friend and confidant..for it is in Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
