So this morning I had heard a different view unlike all of the other ones I had heard about the story of Martha and Mary..Luke 10:38-42…somehow it always seemed that the others had preached about Mary doing the needful thing and that somehow Martha wasn’t doing as much as Mary..or maybe that Martha needed to sit herself down and listen at the feet of Jesus…but how many of ya know that both sides are needful…we all need to have that Mary side of us…as to where we do always remember our altar…because we need that…we need that sitting down at the Jesus’ feet and we need that presence of the Almighty to be in our lives…for only Jesus can fill us up and only Jesus gives us strength and endurance it is that we need in our lives to do whatever it is that we have to do…so as well we also need that Martha side…we need that get up and go mentality…because Martha she was taking care of business…she wasn’t waiting around on someone else to pick up the slack…or someone else to do the job..but she got right on it and got busy doing what was needed to be done…but as well the story in the word tells us that Martha got upset I guess you’d say because she felt as if she was doing it all and that somehow Mary wasn’t doing her part to help out…but really isn’t that like us all we do and do and continually do for others and we get down troddened by the whole thing because we may have just forgotten our altar and that we need to go there to that place to get help from the Lord…see we can’t do our task that we have to do when we try to do it in our own strengths…so I feel that Martha maybe just maybe forget to pray that morning as she was rushing all around taking care of business…and I feel that somehow if she would’ve prayed that she wouldn’t have gotten upset that Mary was spending her time at the feet of Jesus…so what I got this morning from the Pastor through this is that we need both sides…we need that Mary side to us..and as well guys we need that Martha side to us…cause a lot of people are pretty selfish..they want others to do it all..and they get pretty lazy just being content just always resting in the Lord, and resting at His feet..but see God needs us to be active…He needs us to be like Martha as well…for we all can’t just sit there at Jesus’ feet daily…because if we did nothing would get done and or accomplished…because we know that faith without works is dead..James 2:14-26…so my prayer for us all is that we all find balance in life…we learn how to sit at Jesus’ feet and we learn how to get the jobs done…we learn how to find rest..and we learn how to take care of business…for everything we do in our lives we have to have balance guys…a little bit of this and a little bit of that…so don’t ever let any of us forget our altars…always to be there daily before we go anywhere else…we go to Jesus….cause He is our everything…and the Lord is the one in whom helps us to be like Martha and take care of the things that need taking care of…Hallelujah…so let us be them steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord Christians..let us be them ones in whom know how to rest and know how to pray and knows exactly how to get them jobs done, for Jesus Christ our Lord…In His name I do pray and ask…Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen…Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
