So today I stopped by the mall and just kinda walked around and pick up a few things..but anyways I was standing in line I had met this older gentleman and me and him just hit it off and began to talk..and of course anyone I ever begin to talk with the conversation always goes to talking about Jesus…and so the man begins to tell me his story and that he and his wife has only lived in Winston for about a year and half that he is a retired real estate agent from Dallas..and that he was born and raised there..and that was home to him…and anyways he says so long story short..we ended up here because a great opportunity had been presented to my wife and she wanted to take it and so we prayed about it and off we moved..but when I got here I was not really liking it, or should I say giving it a chance..and I sit in my home and I grumbled around..and frowned around about the whole thing..and then one day the Lord spoke to me and he said to me, have you forgotten who you are and just who it is that you belong too?…and the man said, it hit me like a ton of bricks..there I set with a defeated mentality…and I just moped around all day..while my beautiful wife was working and so happy about her new career…so at that moment I did pray and I ask the Lord to forgive me..and me and my wife began searching for us a new home church..and we found us one and we love it..I began to sing in the choir for I had always been a singer for the Lord my whole life..and as well the Lord begin to open up other opportunities for me outside of the church..so on fridays I meet with a group of men and we have breakfast every friday morning and fellowship with one another..and through out the week he said I go to the hospital and walk around and minister and do my best to encourage or pray for someone in whom is in need…and as well he said I go the hospice house and I love on them families of them patients in whom are sick and dying..so he looks at me this gentleman..and he says my face use to look like this..and he made this frown face..but he said since I remembered who it was that I belonged too..my face no longer frowns…Praise God…but he said I smile..and I smile and I am so happy and so fulfilled with my life…he said I never dreamed that I would be living here…but I thank the good Lord above that he moved us here..he said I have met so many wonderful people since being here..and I’m so glad that I got the chance to meet you and tell you my story…so we set there in the furniture section of JC Penny’s on them couches and we talked about Jesus…and we prayed for one another..and he went up the elevator and I went out the door….and I was so blessed by his story…and at how God orders our steps…for He says the steps of a righteous man are ordered of Him..Psalm 37:23..and that when we as children of the Lord remember who we belong too..and who we serve…and understand that God always has a work that we can do…whether it’s volunteering…whether it’s singing in the choir…baking our neighbor a cake…or just going to visit them hospital folks or them ones that’s in the nursing homes…for you see guys…when we get our eyes off from us and we rise up and place them on others..it’s amazing at how God begins to move in our lives..and at how we begin to live this abundant life that He died that we could live and that we all should be living..John 10:10…so wherever you are today…I pray that none of us ever forget who we belong too..and that we are the apple of Gods eyes…and that God has a work for us to be doing…so let us all get busy working on whatever it is that the Lord is bidding or desiring from us…and I promise ya that the Lord just as He did that gentleman that I met today…He will take our frowns and turn them into big bright and beautiful smiles…for we all can do something..if that little man can do things, than surely we can…no excuses…but just full fledged actions..for actions speak louder than our words..and nothing will ever change in any of our lives if daily we just continually doing them same things day in and day out…and I can’t help but think of the scriptures in the bible that says this…Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me…Matthew 25:34-40…for I pray we never forget that as well the Lord says unto each of us be careful in whom you entertain for we could very much be entertaining an angel unaware..Hebrews 13:2…so let us do something..let us all live our lives to the fullest…let us all be the hands and feet of Jesus carrying this message of the gospel to a lost and a dying world in whom is in need of a Savior…for we all just need more and more of Jesus..Amen!…for if we all do something it will make such a huge difference…so let us do something..In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray…Amen and Amen…Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi 🙂
