That ole saying that says bad habits are hard to break…that ole saying is so very true…a lot of times are biggest problem is that changing and renewing of our minds…people get saved and they think that everything should go just right…that them things they used to do they won’t desire to do them any longer, and the way they used to talk and act they won’t be concerned with those types of things any more…but guys we all are like computers and we’ve heard this before but it’s true…everything we place inside of us kinda stays there…the images, them things that we hear…we sorta store them in our minds…without even recognizing that we are doing so but we are…so the thing is this, in Gods word it tells us to not be conformed any longer with the ways of this world but for us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is that good, acceptable and perfect will of God…Romans 12:2…the ole man and his ways have got to die out..so the Lord can fill us up with His ways…and His thoughts…see that’s the part where action comes in place for us…we choose daily what we do, what we watch, what we listen and so on….and either we are gonna put things in us that are gonna help us along the way on our journey with God…or we’re not…and we have to read the word of God…for Gods word is what’s living and breathing…for Gods word cuts sharper than a two edged sword…Hebrews 4:12…for His word it what goes forth to accomplish what it was sent forth to accomplish…the bible says that it will not return void..Isaiah 55:11…and that in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God..John 1:1..so really for us to be changed and renewed…then it all boils down to us being close to our Father…cause God is what changes us…when we desire to be changed and we really focus on that change..than we will change…and God will help us to be better and do better…but it is a struggle and a journey…some days we will miss the mark so to speak…we will do things and say things that just isn’t right…but as well we know that we are a constant work in progress…so it’s choosing to turn away from the old man and the old mindsets…and it’s choosing to focus on doing the right things…asking for forgiveness…speaking kindly…talking godly…and putting away all of the filthy talking and gestures…Colossians 3:8….It’s about following after Jesus, and being like Him, and doing them things in which He would do, and choosing to say them things in which He would say…no it’s not always easy…but it is worth it…so be determined that your gonna make it with the Lord…that your not gonna back away from change when God begins to deal with you personally…but instead your gonna accept it, and then hold yourself accountable to change….for no one can do it for us…we have to do be willing to care enough about ourselves to do it…so let us let go of who we are and what we were…and let us focus on becoming who we need to be…In  Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray…Amen and Amen!!!
