Listening to that still small voice….

I am remembering a story this morning that I had read once…it was about a young man whom was getting off from work late one night…and as he was driving home the Lord was speaking to him to go a different route home…so he takes an exit that normally he would take and just continues to  drive…he gets to this street and the Lord says to turn up it, so the man proceeds to turn and up that street he goes…all the while there is this little store there and the Lord says to him stop here go in there and buy a gallon of milk…and the man begins to question God and he says Lord put I don’t need any milk…are you sure Lord that is what your wanting for me to do…and of course the Lord continues to tell him go into the store and get a gallon of milk…so the man stops his car gets out goes in and buys the milk…and back out to his car he goes…and once again the Lord begins talking to him telling him to turn up yet another street…so the man proceeds to go up that street…and God says stop here go over to that little house knock on the door and give them the milk…and the guy says Lord it is 2:00 in the morning…those people are probably in the bed…they are gonna think I am completely crazy if I go knocking on their door to hand them a gallon of milk….but the Lord persisted for him to go and do it…so out of obedience to the Lord the man gets out of his car with the gallon of milk and heads for the door of that little house…all the while on the inside of the house…there is this mommy and daddy whom are crying and praying that the Lord would make a way for them to provide some milk for their little baby…they had no money…and they didn’t know what they were going to do…their baby was hungry and they had no means whatsoever to get him the milk that he needed…and then as the parents are praying…there is this knock at their door…so they try to just ignore it in hopes that whoever it was would just go away…they didn’t have time for it…but the man keeps knocking because the Lord keeps telling him to knock….meanwhile the daddy is very frustrated and he comes and slams open his door…and begins to tell this man do you not know that it is 2 in the morning…and on and on he goes…the other guy politely tells him, sir I’m sorry…but the Lord wanted me to bring you this gallon of milk….what’s the moral of the story…well obedience is always better than sacrifice…that when God speaks we are to listen…it doesn’t matter what we think about it..no matter how big it is, or even how ridiculous it is…when God says for us to do something..than I pray that we are obedient and that we listen…for if the Lord can trust us over little…than He says that He would make us ruler over much..Luke 16:10..it’s amazing how we hear stories like these…and guys there true stories..God hears us when we pray…and He answers us…every time..He is our provider…He is our everything…He parts them waters..and He does calm those storms..so just know that God needs us to be His hands and His feet…so look around ya today and pay attention and listen to God speaking to you…for He is always needing us to listen..it may not mean a lot to you the task but to someone else it could mean everything…for miracles they do happen everyday..when Gods children do what it is that He is requiring of them to do…so let us be still and let us listen..In Jesus’ name I do ask and pray…Amen and Amen!! Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
